Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Informatics Analyst to support the implementation and management of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for the Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical informatics, system configuration, and technical documentation, with hands-on experience supporting recognized EHR platforms .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and support the implementation of the VADOC Electronic Health Record (EHR) solution.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet clinical, operational, and compliance requirements.

  • Assist in the creation of software design documents , system diagrams , and technical documentation .

  • Customize, evaluate, and configure health information systems based on clinical workflows and healthcare standards.

  • Apply Agile development methodologies in coordination with cross-functional teams.

  • Utilize knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) methodologies to drive system analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.

  • Document and analyze various workflow processes and ensure alignment with regulatory and clinical standards.

  • Required Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of professional experience in Clinical Informatics or related field.

    • Experience with a recognized Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

    • 5+ years of experience in:

      • Preparing software design documents and technical diagrams.

      • Working with Agile development environments.

      • Applying Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) methodologies.

      • Documenting and customizing workflow processes according to health standards.

    Note:

    • This role requires 100% onsite presence in Richmond, VA .

    • Only W2 candidates will be considered.
