About the Job

We are seeking a reliable independent contractor delivery driver to transport goods or passengers to designated locations. This role involves operating your own vehicle, following delivery schedules, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and strong time management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transport Goods or Passengers : Pick up and deliver packages, products, or individuals safely and on time.
  • Route Planning : Follow pre-set routes or use navigation apps to determine the most efficient delivery paths.
  • Vehicle Maintenance : Inspect and maintain your vehicle to ensure it is clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
  • Loading/Unloading : Safely load and unload goods or baggage, sometimes lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Communication : Maintain regular contact with dispatch teams or clients for updates and delivery confirmations.
  • Compliance : Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Record-Keeping : Log deliveries, track mileage, and complete necessary paperwork or electronic reports.
  • Customer Service : Interact professionally with clients, address concerns, and obtain signatures when required.
  • Expense Management : Handle fuel, maintenance, and other operational costs independently.


Requirements and Skills:

  • Licensing : Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required for larger vehicles.
  • Driving Record : Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
  • Vehicle : Reliable, insured vehicle suitable for deliveries (e.g., car, van, or box truck, depending on the job).
  • Physical Ability : Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and handle loading/unloading tasks.
  • Navigation Skills : Familiarity with local roads and proficiency with GPS or navigation apps.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills; ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Background Check : Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings, if required.
  • Flexibility : Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Optional Skills : Experience operating forklifts, dollies, or other equipment may be preferred.
