Babe s is a modern and bright tea party destination also providing an elevated caf experience. Serving afternoon tea, bubbly brunches, lunches, and happy hour. While we are known for our afternoon tea service, our menu also includes sandwiches, salads, homemade pastry, over 75 loose leaf teas, a variety of special-TEA drinks, coffee, vino & bubbles.

With an emphasis on great vibes, a tasty menu, and a super chic atmosphere, our tea room concept is a departure from the mad hatter, miss-matched tea cups concept. We are a youthful, inclusive, positive, and productive work environment.

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to prepare a variety of desserts, pastries and petits fours. Your skill in high quality baking should be matched by your creativity to develop new amazing tastes and recipes. Among other items, we would like to revamp our pastry offerings and to increase our gluten free and vegan offerings. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving. The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele.

In addition, we serve a tiered afternoon tea service daily. Your creations will be proudly displayed on our top tier. Creativity, top-notch presentation, and delicious tasting recipes is our priority!

Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of goods such as French Macarons, petits-fours, cakes and cookies, following traditional and modern recipes
  
• Create new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
  
• Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting
  
• Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget
  
• Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards
  

Skills

• Proven experience as Pastry Cook, baker or relevant role
  
• Experience with Macaron Production is a must
• Great attention to detail and creativity
  
• Organizing and leadership skills
  
• Willingness to replenish professional knowledge
  
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
