Housekeeper/Pet Nanny (PT)

Days: Monday - Saturday 

Hours: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM (The hours varies between this time frame)

Compensation: $30 to $45 per hour

Additional Benefits: Holiday Bonuses or other bonuses.

Start Date: ASAP

A Brooklyn family is looking for a reliable housekeeper/pet nanny to care for their dog and provide light household support. Duties include feeding, entertaining, bathing, and taking the dog to vet appointments, along with light housekeeping, laundry, errands, watering plants, and keeping the kitchen tidy. The ideal candidate is discreet, a great cook, dog-loving, quick to learn, and takes pride in their work with a polite demeanor. There is a 3.5 month old Italian water dog in the home.

Main Work Duties: 

• Look after dog while principal is working. Make sure the dog is fed, entertained during the day and bathed once a week or more depending on weather. Take him to vet appointments. 
• Light housekeeping.
• Do laundry (once a week)
• Run errands - online returns, pickup of shipments from nearby copy center) 
• Do extremely light sweeping or cleanup of fallen leaves in front and back yard (once a week)
• Water few indoor plants.
• Make sure kitchen, dishes clean and take out any trash whenever present. 

Required Qualities: 

• Discretion (No personal discussions or questions)
• Must be a great cook
• Must love dogs
• Someone who learns quickly and anticipates needs
• Takes great pride in their work
• Polite demeanor

Cooking Is Required: 

Get groceries from farmer's market and prepare meals for every other day based on nutritionist's outline. Knowledge of traditional Indian cooking from India is a big plus but main food should be un-processed produce and meat from farmer's market - healthy fresh meals. 

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ solid years experience has a housekeeper/pet nanny.
• Excellent references from both current and previous employers.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions precisely.
• Must speak and be able to communicate well in English.
• Authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
