Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support product legal reviews by gathering facts, preparing initial assessments, and drafting summaries or memos. Create, maintain, and update legal support workflows
Provide timely support on review of marketing and creative materials in support of GM’s digital services and products
Work cross-functionally to ensure stakeholder input on marketing materials, including across Legal and business clients
Assist in the creation of presentation materials and with other special projects as requested
Assist in managing and organizing Legal processes to achieve efficiencies, including support activities related to intake and review of legal deliverables
Update various legal templates as needed with direction from attorneys
Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned or requested
Keep attorneys and business stakeholders informed of the completion of assignments
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Basic Qualifications & Experience:
3+ years as a paralegal with an in-house legal department, preferably in the technology sector
Excellent computer skills, including advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight
Highly effective communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters
Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively with others
Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office in - Detroit, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business]Relocation: This job is NOT eligible for relocation benefits
