Plumbing Designer

Position Purpose

A Plumbing Designer is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing plumbing systems in various construction projects.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design efficient and safe plumbing layouts commercial, institutional, higher education, and industrial buildings.
• Ensure compliance by making sure the plumbing systems meet local building codes and regulations
• Oversee plumbing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are executed smoothly.
• Identify and resolve plumbing problems that arise during construction or maintenance
• Work with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems into overall building designs
• Travel: up to 20%
• All other duties as requested

Competencies

• Exceptional Revit skills.
• Experience in Bluebeam and Adobe.
• Familiar with Newforma, ProCore.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications / Prior Experience

• Associates Degree in related field.
• Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years' experience
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD

• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance visions, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Prolonged period of sitting or standing at a desk while working on a computer.
• Exposure to outside elements when on location site.
