Surveillance Investigator

Description Summary: Monitors unusual and illegal activities throughout the property. Completes ongoing training regarding all casino table games, slots, internal theft, fraud awareness programs, Nevada gaming regulations, minimum internal controls, case file management and surveillance standard operating procedures
Essential Functions - Reports all illegal and unusual activities to the appropriate authorities
- Utilize necessary equipment to identify, record, document and report illegal and unusual activities occurring in all gaming areas, non-gaming areas, and back of the house
- Maintains a consistent and continuous self education program, in preparation to acquire job knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
- Assists with the training of investigator level I and investigator trainees
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College degree, in the Gaming field preferred
- Minimum of two years of surveillance systems operations experience in a gaming environment.
- Must posses some knowledge of Gaming Minimum Internal Casino Standards, Title 31, Regulation 5 and Nevada Revised Statutes
- Ability to find commonsense solutions to problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to effectively communicate in English both written and verbal
- Able to communicate in a group setting as well as one-on-one situations
- Previous experience using computers (type 25 WPM) with over all knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

- Vision, hearing, speech and literacy (critical)
- Ability to remain in sitting position (over 75% of the time)
- Ability to move throughout the casino floor (less than 25 % of the time)
- Maintain concentrated attention to detail for sustained periods
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Working indoors in a smoky, noisy, dark environment
