I remember as a child, education seemed like a distant dream, overshadowed by financial constraints, as my father is a farmer, and societal norms, where people believed that girls didn't need education. But because of my determination to excel and educate myself, my parents dared to defy societal norms. Despite facing rejection from villagers and outdated beliefs, they supported my education.
With limited resources, every step toward education felt like a leap of faith. Breaking barriers, I became the first girl from my village to graduate. But the real transformation happened when I joined the Rubicon Training Programme. I enrolled with Rubicon in my final year of grad, from Krishnaveni Degree College, Narasaraopet. It provided a platform where financial constraints didn't limit my potential.
First, it taught me technical skills that are important for jobs. I learned how to use computers and other tools that companies need. But more than that, it gave me the confidence to face challenges. The trainers were amazing. They understood the struggles I faced and helped me overcome them. They taught me how to write a good resume and how to do well in interviews. These were things I didn't know before, and they made a big difference. Because of the programme, I got a job at Infosys as a System Associate.
It was a dream come true for me and my family. It's not always easy, but it's worth it in the end.

Today, I'm proud to work as a Grand Technician at Tata Electronics, a dream I never imagined. Growing up in Narasaraopet, Tamil Nadu, India, life wasn't easy for me. My father, a hardworking laborer, struggled to feed our family of five. I knew from a young age that education was my ticket to a better life. I saw my father's sacrifices and understood the importance of securing a stable future for myself and my family. I wanted to break societal norms and set an example for my younger sisters, showing them that they too could achieve their dreams through education.
During college, I encountered a moment of insecurity when I realised how well-prepared my peers were for the corporate world. Their grooming and confidence made me doubt my own abilities. I tried to learn from the internet but found it lacking. Then, in my third year at Nandha Arts and Science College, Tamilnadu, Rubicon Foundation brought the Training Programme to our college. I jumped at the opportunity. The trainers were incredibly dedicated, providing personalised attention to each student's needs, including grooming.
I learned everything from corporate grooming to interview skills. It prepared me for the competitive job market. Rubicon’s support not only helped me achieve my dreams but also enabled me to support my family and provide them with a better life.
