Rubicon Foundation is a 15 yrs old NGO, dedicated to creating positive change by helping people from diverse backgrounds. At Rubicon, our primary goal is to enable underserved communities to achieve financial independence. We help them achieve this goal through skill development, healthcare and a sustainable environment. Our mission is to empower individuals to lead secure lives through our skill development, improved educational opportunities, and access to quality healthcare. Through various initiatives, we strive to connect with underserved communities and provide them with the necessary resources and tools for self-sustainability. Together, we work towards building a brighter and more secure future for everyone. We understand the importance of digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and job-specific training in the real world. Our programs are carefully designed to cater to individual needs, providing the skills required to thrive in today's ever-evolving landscape. A strong focus is also on facilitating environmental initiatives. Our commitment extends to activities like beach cleaning and tree plantation. We aim to make a positive impact on both individuals and the environment. I remember as a child, education seemed like a distant
dream, overshadowed by financial constraints and societal
norms, where girls pursuing education faced strong
resistance; my life seemed scripted. But because of my
determination to excel and educate myself, my parents
dared to defy societal norms. Despite facing rejection
from villagers and outdated beliefs, they supported my
education.
With limited resources, every step toward education felt
like a leap of faith. Breaking barriers, I became the
first girl from my village to graduate. But the real
transformation happened when I joined the Rubicon Training
Program. It provided a platform where financial
constraints didn't limit my potential.
The program's impact went beyond skill development; it
catalysed positive social change by empowering
individuals like me to break free from limiting
circumstances. I stepped into the corporate world and
achieved what seemed impossible: landing a job at Infosys
as a System Associate.
Reflecting on my journey, my story is a testament to the
program's impact, not just in skill development but in
fostering positive social change. From a town where
girls' education was discouraged to a successful career,
my journey is a source of inspiration for all.

Losing my father during my school years was devastating,
and that forced me to take on the responsibility of
supporting my family, especially my younger brother's
education. It was tough on us despite the financial
challenges; I pursued my graduation from a government
college, where I also enrolled in the Rubicon Training
Programme.
The program's focus on interview skills and corporate
presentation was a game-changer for me. I realised the
gaps in my abilities and understood how crucial these
skills were for landing job placements.
Taking the program seriously, I absorbed invaluable
insights that continue to benefit me in my current role
at Amazon as a SA Sorting Assistant.
Without the Rubicon Training Program, I wouldn't have
excelled as I have. My ability to support my family and
contribute to my brother's education brings me immense
pride and fulfilment.
